Damn.. Kind of surprised by this. He flourished in that offense.

I think kelly has a "the system makes the player not the other way around" mentality about his offense

I doubt NE or SF trade for him unless he guaranteed to restructure his current contract, which he refuses to do with Philly.

He is in the second year of a five year deal. $45 million; $15 million guaranteed. He isn't worth that much $$$.

While I do agree with this, he did have a really good year last year. IF he continues to play like that every year, I might would certainly change my mind.

49ers might have won the Super Bowl with him last year. Crabtree couldn't separate from Sherman, Jackson can.

Citing a league source, CSN Philly's Derrick Gunn reports the Eagles are seeking at least a third-round draft pick "and potentially more" in return for Jackson. The team has already heard from the San Francisco 49ers and New England Patriots, per Gunn.

Saw this tweeted:

quote:

@IgglesNest DeSean Jackson: 39 TDs, 43 40+ yard plays.
Percy Harvin: 29 TDs, 24 40+ yard plays.
Harvin was traded for a first round pick.

These rumors have been swirling locally for a while and I kinda thought they were drummed up BS, but to me this is starting to become apparent they have some interest in moving him.

Sucks because I like the guy and think he's unfairly maligned some (he can be an arse on the field but he's a good dude). But behind the scenes he must not be doing what Kelly likes.

Yep, and Harvin is bigger so more upside. DeSean, as good as he is, is limited in a lot of ways. And not a threat in the RZ at all.
