Republicans gaining the Senate

If this happens I'm assuming nothing will change, correct?

I think the GOP is scared to death they may actually earn both houses. It will be shut up and put up time for them.

If the Republicans regain control of the Senate, it will be by a slim margin. That and the fact President Obama still has a pen in his hand to veto legislation means nothing will really change. It'll just be as gridlocked in January 2015 as it is in March 2014.

Even if the Republicans gained both houses, I assume they would still be too cowardly to stop Obama from passing laws by the power of his magic pen.

LESS will change if the GOP gains Senate control and if you oppose our progressive president as I do, that is a GOOD thing. For example, harmful nominees requiring Senate approval could be stopped. No, a slim majority in the Senate will not roll back the executive and federal overreaching we have seen, but it will help prevent the president and his party from inflicting even more harm. With all of the cash "on the sidelines" in our economy, I suspect that the promise of a government "doing nothing"
would be well received by a wary business community and lead to more investments and job creation. While the preceding statement is admittedly speculation, it is entirely reasonable to assume that a GOP-controlled Senate would make it more difficult than it is now for Obama to pursue a legislative agenda, and that is good enough for me.

Supreme Court. That's the single most important thing.

You're kidding, right?
You do realize he signed the first budget in 4(?) years just this year.

You are correct. Repubs will spend too much time gloating that they took the senate. All the while not doing much. What they do pass, will probably just be vetoed.
If there is one thing I am sure of...its that partisan politics won't lose this election. People need to wake up and stop caring about left vs right, conservative vs progressive... Its a facade. The only thing ANYONE in EITHER party is concerned with is reelection. And rarely does that mean actually have their constituents interests in mind.... unless of course lobbyists and corporations are their only constituents.

Im not arguing that. My point was just that the partisan BS won't stop. Neither side does much good for the country.

This but it will mean that can limit his appointments and hopefully the Pubs can get the WHS in 2016 and reverse some of the damage.

I don't know about that, but that it JUST happened for the first time in 4 years, or whatever, I thought it might have been a little more memorable.
I mean after all, it's like the Olympics - comes around once every 4 years.
