I haven't really seen anybody talking about them like they have a chance. They are a #2 seed, and although they are in the tough midwest, they're on the good side of it.
Honestly I don't think Duke is that great, and Lousville just seems like that 3-5 team that EVERYONE is picking this year just because they've been told they're awesome.

I think Michigan has as good a shot as any #2 of making the FF

Yes I get it, Louisville is a good team. I'm not saying they don't have the skill to win it all, because they do, but the hype they are getting all of a sudden is insane. People just seem to have forgotten about Michigan, and even Wichita St.

I just think it is far from a lock that Louisville makes the FF, and I think Michigan could beat them if it came down to it

You probably think Wichita st. Making the f4 is a lock, huh?

Far from it, but thanks for the post further proving my point that for some reason people are writing off every team in the bracket except Louisville

They rely a lot on shooting. They don't get a lot of stuff going towards the goal. Literally if they had Mitch McGary they might be the favorite. He's the post presence on offense they lack.

And on defense for that matter. They have a lot of bodies down low, and they defend down there decently, but their perimeter defense is meh.

The good thing is - everything so far is nothing that Duke will really exploit. Duke doesn't defend that great, don't have protectors at the rim, and they are vulnerable on the interior defensively. If Michigan and Duke match up, it could go either way.

If Michigan runs into a team that really defends, they are toast. They rely a ton on the ball screen from what I've seen, and the good teams that can defend it will give them a world of trouble.

Texas scares me a bit, though. They could beat them in the 3rd round.

Depends on if our guards show up or not. Play down low has been good for the most part, but the guards have all fallen off as of late. If we can revert to the form we had mid-conference season, then watch out. Otherwise, we could easily go out in the first game

I have them losing in the title game to UF, not because I necessarily think they're the 2nd best team, but I think they're capable of taking down the toughest teams in their brackets.

I filled out 2, one for ESPN on the MSB and the other being the Billion Dollar challenge. On the 2nd one I have them losing to Louisville in the Elite 8.

And its not like Duke or Louisville had banner years by their standards. I think Duke was 4-4 vs Top 25, Louisville was 4-5.

Louisville this year reminds me of Florida last year. Blows the roof off of mediocre competition but struggles against the good teams.

Yeah, but they haven't played any of those great teams recently so it's hard to tell.

Whoever comes out of the midwest is playing for the title.
I have Michigan losing to UF in that game

The love for Louisville is honestly pretty much entirely based on three quality wins against UConn who just didn't match up well with them at all. Other than that, there aren't really many great wins on their schedule.

It'll be tough for UK to get there with KState and likely Wichita State in front of it, but I'd feel pretty good about a matchup with them in the Sweet 16.

They are just getting ready for the tourney.. Pitino is great at this... The Ville will be a VERY dangerous team for ANYONE who plays them.....

I have Kentucky coming out of that bracket

Best offensive rebounding team going up against a bunch of guard heavy teams.

UConn isn't really that good, as we'll see soon.

That's because they're the vegas favorite and have been to the final four the past two years. Russ Smith and Hancock are clutch this time of year.
