Props to John Thompson

When this man coached Georgetown, I admit that I did not like him. He was interviewed on radio last night, and someone asked him about a certain underclassman going to the NBA. I really liked Thompsons's response. He basically said that we should only be worried about a player's college career, and that people should not really devote time speculating about an NBA future. He felt that such speculation placed undo pressure upon the players. In his opinion, the player should be left alone to make his decision, and that all speculation should cease. I know that I am in the majority, but I agree with him 100 %

Doesn't speculation help them decide whether or not they are ready?

when you're a fan of a program longer than a player has been alive you're going to think of the program first, and bc of that people will speculate; we're not gonna wish ill will on these kids, but we will wonder and discuss what their decision will be

He's just gonna have to realize that people are gonna say and do what they want to
