I don't dispute this and believe that all of the evidence we currently have points that way. I also don't know that all of that matter has expanded through space because of one event or Genesis. Aristotle's theory of dynamic motion was accepted as law until Galileo proved him wrong. I happen to believe that we are too arrogant for our own good sometimes and that we should all try to be more objective, elite level physicists included.

Right I mean who is to say that God did not cause the Big Bang to bring the universe into existence?

I told a teacher that one time and heard crickets. I think the idea of a Big Bang sounds dumb but if it happened it sure doesn't rule out God. I don't think we are talking billions of years ago either.

No matter what science comes up with you cannot scientifically get to the root of the matter: Who is the creator? Science can explain process very well at times - although what is accepted science differs greatly over time. It cannot explain who or why.

Do you really believe this? The Earth itself is believed to be over 4 billion years old. Do you not believe in the study of geology? I am not saying that any theory is beyond question but I find the age of the Earth much more easily acceptable than the Big Bang Theory. I also want to point out that I don't wholly dount the BB theory I just think that we are really reaching to find the Genesis of the universe and there is a greta deal we don't know.

The BB Theory and an "Old Earth" do not contradict each other. As a matter of fact, if I remember correctly, the BBT says that the Earth is billions of years old.
