EBRPSS audit

..and of course:

quote:

"Belinda Davis, president of the parent and community group One Community, One School District, called it a “politically manufactured stunt.” Rep. Pat Smith, D-Baton Rouge, blamed it on the supporters of the effort to incorporate the city of St. George and form a new school district in the south part of the parish."

I'm confused as to why all of the inconsistencies are considered manufactured? Looks pretty cut and dry for no oversight or accountability by the ebrpss

There were people on TheAdvocate yesterday in a fit of rage that the audit was released on a Sunday. Not a single one of them commented on the cheating, lying, falsified records, but they wanted White's head over him releasing his findings on a Sunday

These are the people that support the EBRPSS and will continue to support it, even after heads roll in the coming months.

What was there reasoning for said fit? What would be the difference between releasing it on a Monday instead of a Sunday? Because EBRPSS could not quickly make a statement about the audit?

The results would have been a major problem for the district administration regardless of what day the details were released.

Just read through that entire audit report

I've got to be honest, I'm not surprised in one bit by the findings. And I'll be very surprised if EBRPSS will adopt internal controls that the LDOE is expecting.

Evidently the day of the week matters. They are stuck in the 80s when everyone had to wait for the paper to come out

It's too bad that the state doesn't audit charters or their own "recovery" districts the same way.

Friend of mine was teaching at one and filing complaints to LDOE about fraud she was witnessing and she was threatened in return.

Eventually the FBI stepped in.
