California needs to just fall off the map. All of a sudden a lot of our debt would disappear!

Magnitude 4.0 - 4.9

quote:

Felt indoors by many, outdoors by few during the day. At night, some awakened. Dishes, windows, doors disturbed; walls make cracking sound. Sensation like heavy truck striking building. Standing motor cars rocked noticeably.

Only a 4.7? When I lived out there I learned that you don't move for anything less than a 5.0. The first time living though an earthquake is freaky, the second time you shrug it off.

That's what I was thinking. Isn't this a daily thing for them?

The sensation is odd. I slept through most of the ones we had in Vegas. The only one that freaked me out was when I was walking around the Stardust's new tower while my mom inspected it before it opened. One hit and the whole building started swaying. Of course it was designed to do that but it still freaked me out.
