The LSU/Vanderbilt Doubleheader???

Here are the facts:
1.The bad weather is missing Nashville Sunday. We have had a whopping .18 of rain, nothing more than a heavy dew/mist. No lightning or fog. No wind. All I ever heard on the forecasts was a rainy day but no severe weather was ever forecast. No hazardous travel warnings.
2. Vanderbilt has a completely turf field, even home plate and infield skin is turfed. The only dirt on the whole field is pitcher’s mound. The field drains incredibly fast. When sold to Vanderbilt it was touted to be available for play in less than one hour after a 3 hour hard rain.
3. Playing that doubleheader was to the advantage of Vanderbilt…..big time!
4. We lost both games. The last game was pathetic. Players looked exhausted and pitcher expecting another day of preparation was thrust into rotation one day early.
5. Even if the game would have been called Sunday, the worst we would have would be a split and one less loss.
WTF?

i'm pretty sure Paul had to agree to it before it happened.

How did they have the advantage with the double hitter? Sour grapes much?

As a coach and player you never want to have a game cancelled if you can avoid it. They didn't just do it without asking us.

Maybe Vandy had a better weekend/is a better team than us.

I live in Franklin and it is currently pouring rain. Both teams had to play a dh under the same conditions. This weekend, Vandy was better.

How so?

Prior to the DH, the feeling around here was that it favored us. Now after the fact you're saying the opposite? Sour grapes indeed.

They feared the LSU stiff dew!
On this particular weekend, vandy would have beaten us if we got 4 strikes per out and fielded 12 men on defense. Get over it.

Vandy played under same conditions.....

Dropping 2 to Vandy was expected in any condition. Be glad we stole one and look forward.
LSU needs to be playing their best baseball in May and June. Dropping 2 to aj excellent Vandy team mid-March really is not a huge deal.

We lost straight up, but who knows if Poche stayed up late talking to a girl bc he thought he was pitching Sunday. You can't say that playing a DH had zero factor on game 3.

Who's to say their pitcher didn't too?
Stop.

I live 2 miles from Vandy. Horrible weather, lightning, rain. Awful.

God just stop. They're a better club. For right now.

I'm in downtown Nashville... been misting rain all day. Probably could have played today... but what's the point.
