I haven't watched this in years but just noticed it's streaming on amazon. It's rating on imdb isn't great but I recall really liking it. What's the boards opinion on this?

Fake faith healer Jonas Nightingale is stranded in a small town where he finds he can't fool all of the people all of the time.

I remember it as ok.

That being said, if I were to sit down and watch a late 80's Steve Martin movie, it'd be My Blue Heaven.

Per imdb this is loosely based on Peter Popoff who would use a radio to have his revelations about people in his audience. He was exposed on the tonight show.

I like this movie a lot. Was a surprise when I watched it 10 years ago on HBO by chance.

I actually have it DVR'd right now to watch sometime soon.
