Guess they are letting the market soften as teams sign tackles, but RT is a major hole right now. Sign Streif and possibly Browner to close out FA. Sign Jimmy to reduce cap #. Cut Bunkley June 1. Draft a WR in the first, then address other needs; two OL, LB, DT, RB,DE

Actually with David Stewart being cut in Tennessee, I'd pursue him instead. I'd also go after Penn and kick Armstead over to RT.

We win the superbowl next year if we can just keep our linemen and upgrade center

Every year free agency follows the same pattern. The first few days (less than a week) see a flurry of signings, with many teams overpaying for that year's position du jour. Then it calms down a bit for several days as veterans visit several teams and then decide whether to stay put or move. With the draft pushed back to May, the NFL's silly season just got longer.

Was thinking about this same scenario yesterday. I'm for it.

Armstead isn't a RT.

He is definitely made to be a left tackle. he's a little bit small but very agile. That's exactly what you need on the left side, because they have to deal with the very fast pass rushers the you see on the left side.

First off, Penn sucks, and you'd be wasting Armstead at RT.

Look here doosh, I never even hinted at the notion of insulting Loomis. Merely want to lock up Streif before he starts visiting other teams, as I wouldn't want to rely on an unproven draft pick to protect Drew.

First of all, it's not necessary to hurt my feelings by calling me names. Secondly, you did hint at insulting Loomis by saying we're messing around.....what else would that mean? Were you praising the organization buy saying they're messing around? Thirdly, we all want everyone signed and all pieces in place as soon as possible, but it just doesn't work that way bro. I doubt Loomis and SP are out playing golf.

For how much?

How can I agree or disagree without you suggesting how much we should pay?

The fact that Strief hasn't visited the Dolphins despite reported interest could be a good sign that he is waiting for us.

Either way, I think he brings any offer he gets back to us to match.
