Obama Vs Putin (How Americans view the two)

Putin has "little man's syndrome". Invading another country is the only way he knows how to prove his manhood. The fact is that there are no countries clamoring to become part of the Russian Federation. Being authoritarian and imposing your will makes you look powerful in a crude sort of way - like Saddam looked to Iraqis before his downfall.

Its about the method. He lacks the ability to entice otherwise. How else was he to acquire Crimea? He has to rely on force and propaganda because he has nothing else to offer.
