It had the look of a serious injury to me. Obviously, Portland is fricked if he misses significant time.

Really sucks for them. Got to stop guys from coming up under elevating players, though.

They've been like the healthiest team in the league all year.

Injuries suck and I hope it is nothing serious.

Spurs crippled Marc Gasol as well. They ruin everything.

LaMarcus Aldridge suffered an injury in the second half of Wednesday's game after hard fall. He couldn't shoot the free throws and will not return to this game. Aldridge could barely walk and was getting assistance back to the locker room from two teammates, so he could be looking at missing game action. This would be a crippling blow to the Blazers and they should have an update on his status shortly.

Unfortunate. With or without Aldridge, getting to the second round is going to be a big challenge for Portland.

Seriously, though, that was a scary fall. Hope LA isn't out too long. He's so much fun to watch play.

The Blazers announced during the third quarter that Aldridge has suffered a back contusion and that he is done for the night. After the game, the team announced that X-rays on Aldridge's back were negative.

Bad news is he's hurt. Good news is that he gets to rest and TRob gets more minutes. Hopefully Claver is activated now to. He's one of the more sound players fundamentally on the team.

Nice so he'll be back this year?

Didn't watch the game and haven't seen the injury yet

I saw the injury happen and it looked bad. He fell right on his lower back/tailbone after shooting a runner

I'd assume so. I have no clue how long it takes to recover from a back contusion. It looked pretty serious as well. Back problems is one of the last things you want wrong with your big men as well. Especially if they're going to command a max contract the following season.
I hope the team starts to play inspired again now. Outside of the rocket game, it's been a bunch of awful basketball. I also hope Lillard establishes himself as a top PG again too (offensively at least.) Last time LMA was out, he put up 35+ three times I think. He needs to start calling his shots with or without Aldridge.

Glad the xrays were negative.

Get well soon, LA!
