Hannibal is great show, but the ratings are suffering (Spoilers).

I binged-watched the first season of Hannibal a few weeks ago and I fell in love with it. It's very compelling drama.

Now the show is a toss-up for being cancelled: LINK /

I am still hopeful about the second season, but I haven't been that impressed with the first two episodes so far.

I wonder if they screwed up by having Graham discover Lecter's identity at the end of season 1? I'm also becoming bored with Graham being in jail.

This is like Twin Peaks all over again. A stellar first season, followed by a second season where the writers are strained for viable plot ideas.

The second season has left the first in the dust.

This season has been awesome.

It feels more focused.
And it's just as brutal.

I normally prefer a slow paced, intricately plotted season, but these first two episodes have me a little antsy for things to speed up.

And if things don't get turned around, NBC might cancel the show, which isn't good for any of its fans.

Netflix should look at picking it up like they did for the killing.

Yes, this sucks. The Frida Night Deathslot is the worst time of the week. NBC moved Star Trek there back in 1968, and it was cancelled with extreme prejudice.

Ratings are up on Friday compared to what they were on Thursday at the end of season 1. Props to NBC for moving it to Friday and teaming Hannibal up with Grimm

Grimm has been on Fridays for almost 2 years now, and doesn't have Summer Glau in it.

I think a show like this would be a ratings hit on amc or fx. The mainstream nbc viewers won't get behind this because it's so dark.

It would be a shame if this doesn't show doesn't get picked up by another channel. Mads is amazing as Hannibal

I'm still shocked that that show can be aired on NBC.

Yeah me too. Seems more like an HBO or Showtime show. FX at the least.

lol

Season 2 has nothing even resembling a drop off, let alone a Twin Peaks free fall. I'd say these first two episodes are as good or better than any last season.

This season has been great so far and pairing it up with Grimm was a brilliant move imo since the audience for both shows should be similar. Sundays are jam packed with top shows and Monday-Thursday is dominated by the singing shows. Saturdays are just shite for television.

I'm never home on Friday night and don't have a DVR. I was looking for it last night on HuluPlus, but it wasn't on.

Seems like NBC doesn't care enough to make it available the way I would want to watch it.
