top few are expected but the shocker is Jamarcus Russell coming in at 28. He's ranked behind Mauck, Davey and Flynn from LSU. Also ranked behind such stellar performers as Jared Lorenzen, DJ Shockley, Matt Jones, Tee Martin and Jason Campbell.

SIAP...

It's always pissed me off seeing QB's (or players in general) that because they struggled professionally then they get their stellar college careers shite all over.

I think it's a pretty good list - although I'd putt Mett above JR.

Cam Newton is way better than Mccarren now if they go off production in the 4 years yea ok but as far as what you see and who you would want on your team...id go for Cam...McCarren is prolly a good 7 on that list imo

I honestly don't understand how McCarron can be ranked so high. Yes, he won some nattys, but there are QB's below him on that list that would blow him out of the water if compared head-to-head.

Equally, It annoys me when certain players are bumped up in rankings w/o recognizing the supporting cast they had.

Cam not being in the top two is a joke.

I can understand what they are saying, you have to look at all the aspects. McCarron had 3 BCS champ Rings, plus back to back 2900+ 28 TD seasons, plus a ridiculous efficency rating over 3 seasons. Started every game since taking over the reigns, and remained consistent. People like to debate about the supporting class, but didn't Manziel have two top 10 draft tackles (and another that could go first round next year), plus a physical freak in Evans? Look at Tebow, I'm going to name off his cast of weapons he had and tell me if not all of them have been good to great at least one year in the NFL. At one point of time or another he had Louis Murphy, Percy Harvin, Riley Cooper, and Aaron Hernandez to throw too. He also had the Pouncy brothers to block for him.

If we are talking what they accomplished while in the SEC, and their effectiveness, and the consistency of which they did it, McCarron should get over Newton. This is nothing against Newton ' ridiculous talent as I firmly believe with more weapons he is a top 3 NFL QB, this is only about the fact that he was not there long enough. Russell too only had one good year, that doesn't mean his talent wasn't ridiculous and I too believe he should be higher on this list.

He did, and out performed McCarron with said cast. He couldn't win games this year (outside of the LSU game) because of that awful defense of his. I would include defense in the supporting cast simply because McCarron's defense was what carried those teams.

TBT 28 seems high to me. Big pimpin had a million dollar arm and a 10 cent head. Had too many close games that should have been 3-4 TD leads.

His numbers are phenomenal.

9,019 yds, 77 TDs, 15 INTs, 66.9%, 3 rush TDs

Compare that TD/INT ratio to Johnny Douchebags.

Should be 3. Manziel should be right here, at best

5. Aaron Murray, Georgia (2010-13)

I don't have much of a problem here

I don't care much about the rest of the list, but Tee Martin, Casey Clausen and Jamarcus Russell should be higher.

Jamarcus not only gets penalized because he was a shitty pro, but remember that LSU won national championships the year BEFORE he became the starter and the year AFTER he left.
