Men's Wearhouse buying Jos A Bank for $1.8 billion

quote:

The agreement ends a months-long back and forth that began in October when Jos. A. Bank offered to buy its larger rival for $2.3 billion. Men's Wearhouse scoffed at that offer, and turned the tables, offering to buy its rival for $1.54 billion.

This should be good news for all of you fine people who buy off of the rack.

You buy off the rack and then get it personally tailored.

I seriously doubt even the OT ballers have their suits made from scratch just for their exact measurements.

Ballers get their suits on Bond Street on one of their regular trips to London.

No they don't. Brooks Bros is not the pinnacle of fashion here or anywhere else. I'd argue, it's pretty much the best anyone working professionally in Louisiana would need, however.

It's a step or two above Jos A Banks in quality, which is a step or two above Mens Warehouse in quality. Therefore, this is a bit of disappointing news.

Brooks Brothers is a privately owned company and IMO make quality stuff. I like their slim fit wrinkle free dress shirts. BTW Brooks Brothers Outlet is not the same quality as Brooks Brother regular store.
