Losing Sproles, we need someone who can act as the Bush/Sproles of the team taking away double teams off JG. McCluster will come so cheap and may be able to revive a once promising career in NOLA. Plus the guy is money in the return game.

Groundbreaking idea

I like him but it's a deep draft for potential replacements. Like-

Brandin Cooks
DeAnthony Thomas
Josh Huff
Bruce Ellington
Devonta Freeman
Dri Archer
Robert Herron
Jalen Saunders

I may be the only one not fascinated with signing McCluster. He seems to have a few teams interested, which means he won't come super cheap. Also, with the extremely limited cap space, we have other positions that I'd like to see addressed. If we could get him around $2 mil a year, while still addressing other holes (C, RT, CB, or FS), then sure.

How did you come to this conclusion? I don't think he's going to be that cheap.

If we go a different direction earlier in the draft, I like Jalen in the late rounds. Dri is projected 3/4, right? Cooks is the only one I think that makes 1/2 round, right?

But Cadet is all boring and junk. We need something new and shiny.

The Kansas City Star reports free agent Dexter McCluster will not be re-signing with the Chiefs, and has "4-5 suitors."

Per reporter Terez A. Paylor, McCluster is expected to have a new home by Tuesday evening. McCluster is coming off a career season, but the Chiefs are wise not to overpay. He's a gadget player who's most effective on special teams.

Per Roto

should know either way on him very soon it appears

Cadet sucks as a returner, and has otherwise done a lot of nothing. I don't understand your belief in this guy.

i mean at this moment we have seen articles where "we want to re-sign" some of our own players, but cant.

Can we really expect to throw a contract out to McCluster?

FA is starting today, and unless the Saints have no FA targets, I'm sure they have a set of moves/restructures lined up.

the same thing Khiry Robinson did. He shined in preseason. Enough to keep him around. The same way tons of guys have made the saints in the Payton era
