Way of Kings was one of the best introductory books of a fantasy series I've ever read. The second book of Stormlight Archive came out last week and though I'm not finished (it is 1,100 pages)the plot is progressing much more quickly than the previous book and has been very enjoyable so far. I recommend any fantasy lovers to read it especially since day three for Kingkiller Chronicles Day 3 won't be out for quite a while.

I'm about 4 chapters in. I bought it on Ebook last night but had previously read the first 3 chapters in advance.

I really liked Way of Kings after I got into it.

I'm finding some of the Shallan stuff early to be a bit of slog. But I'm sure it will pick up. More Dalinar, more Kaladin.

Just bought the Way of Kings a couple of nights ago. I'm still getting through the character introductions but am loving it so far.

I'd much much rather read Kaladin and Dalinar's POVs. I'm not sure what the percentage break down is but the less of Shallan the better IMO. It isn't that her chapters are bad per se but they just aren't as good as the other major characters. Sort of like reading Song of Ice and Fire and wanting to read Tyrion and Arya's chapters way more than anyone else.

GIMP That's great man. I'd avoid reading the rest of this thread in case we start talking about WOK spoilers.

Its not that I dislike Shallan. I like her. But the chapters are just more...scholarly, and sometimes kind of incomprehensible.

Kaladin and Dalinar are badasses.

Just finished part one and the interludes. Wow. When you get there let me know and we can discuss it.

Ok. I don't have the time and energy to read as fast as I used to so its pretty much a chapter or two a night at best.

Just got to the Shallan "Oh shite" moment in the book...looking forward to where this is going.

I've been on Sanderson's email updates for quite a while now. He seems to be a good guy. He does reply personally, sometimes to his fans. I'll buy anything from this guy.

BTW, Radiant Knights = Badd arse!

I'm currently enjoying the series of The Sundering in the Forgotten Realms world. Once I get through with it though I will definitely take a look at Sanderson's work.

Kingkiller Chronicles

*readergasm* Rothfuss came out of nowhere and the two existing books in this series have been in-freaking-credible. I'm anxiously awaiting the third along with the next installment of Butcher's Dresden Files.
