What happened on I-10 past Acadian?

There is a ton of smoke visible from a mile off or more and traffic completely stopped And two ambulances headed that way. It looks like something exploded

Ambulances were rushing that direction with traffic at a stop. Glad I'm heading the other way

I live by the overpass. Huge grinding crash about 15 minutes ago. One fire and then another about 200 yards further west.
Nothing on local news yet. Police and fire coming from everywhere. Interstate shut down. It's a bad one.

An Rv caught on fire. Drove past it on our way out to LSU for the baseball game last night. Per local news, the interstate was backed up for around 10 miles.
Don't know how or what caused the fire though.
Eta: are we talking about the accident last night or has there been a new one this morning?

I just came through there about 25 minutes ago--before the accident/crash/fire/whatever, and it was wide open. Hard to believe 10 miles of traffic already.

I live right near the Perkins overpass and woke up to a loud screeching noise coming from the interstate. Must have been an overturned 18 wheeler sliding across the interstate. Hope everyone is ok.
