If you were introducing someone to the Beatles for the first time...

Which song would you choose? Let's assume its a younger person who has never heard them. The first song I ever heard was I Want to Hold Your Hand when I was probably 5. I'm curious, what do you think is the ideal Beatles tune to show a first time listener?

Also, its awesome how most people can remember the first time they heard the Beatles. Can't say that about a lot of groups.

First thing I can think of would be Let it Be. Old beatles might sound a little corny, and you don't want to go too trippy with the later songs. Come Together is another one id consider. Also Drive my Car.

I remember seeing them on Ed Sullivan when I was 12. If someone asked me for a sample of their music today I would give them these (it would probably be different tomorrow or 10 minutes from now):

"Rain"

"Girl"

"Norwegian Wood"

"I'm Looking Through You"

"Because"

"In My Life"

"While My Guitar Gently Weeps"

"A Day In The Life"

"Oh! Darling"

"Hey Jude"

"Revolution"

We had the Beatles 1 album growing up. My favorite songs are Blackbird and Rocky Raccoon.

A Day In the Life was the song that hooked me in when I was in middle school.

when I am 64, or day in the life. Both are really catchy but have a lot of depth to them.
