I can see that.

The glorious thing is that all these sports are not mutually exclusive. Many people act as if soccer will become popular at the demise of baseball or some other sport.

Maybe I don't know because I've never had an MLS team near me...but this is still kind of hard to believe.

That may be because the P.E. coaches are changing. When I was in school, we played basketball and football every day; or if not that, then we ran couple laps. Coaches now a days are required to teach kids health and introduce them to multiple sports. Not surprised by that stat

It can also be because the MLS has completely changed compared to 10 years ago.

One of these is objective, one of these is subjective.

Soccer can definitely be cheaper. But it's impossible to prove that it's more entertaining on a large scale basis.
