Had my left ear pierced twice back in my headbanger teen days in the 80's. I seriously doubt the holes are still all the way through but I can still see where they were.

I got super drunk my freshman year at A&M and ended up getting my tongue pierced at Aggieland Tattoo. (that rat hole has since closed down)
I wore it all through college mainly b/c my pride wouldn't allow me to validate all my friends who made fun me the entire week after while the swelling went down. That and it annoyed the shite out of my parents.
I haven't had it since '06 but the hole is still big enough for me to put a paperclip through.
