What's the word on the elementary schools in this area? I've heard they are some of the better public schools in Baton Rouge and I was curious if anyone had sent their kids there. What'd you think?

if you had to do it you would probably want to go Shenandoah, Sherwood Middle, BRH.

I know quite a few kids that did Shenandoah then instead of doing Woodlawn middle they switched to the catholic schools for middle.

The elementary schools in the area are still good. My son went to Parkview Elementary (it's a public school) and it was a great environment.

We switched to private in middle school. That's when things get a little dicey.

That's what I've heard. We thought about keeping ours in public for elementary and by the time they reach middle school either move or switch to Parkview. I wasn't aware parkview was public until middle school though.
