Just picked up this bad boy. I've fished a lot out of yaks, but only using others. I'll let y'all know if this bad boy is capable of handling a fatass after this weekend.

10-4. See if you can stand up and fish out of it. If you can, I'll probably get that yak next.

Will do. Not sure if I'll actually get to fish this weekend, but I'll definitely give it a paddle and see what it can handle.

Good choice man

Check the hatches for leaks, I think the FS128T was needing a little extra sealant material on the lids.

Welcome to the yak life

I will. Probably just silicone it myself if it does leak. I can't bitch too much when I'm being cheap.

I'm very curious about your impressions. I have the "old" model of the FS12T and also the FS128T, which the one you have is based off of. Would like to know if you can stand and if the hatches, etc leak.

For those still looking, Pack and Paddle in Lafayette is having a Beer and Gear night this Friday night between 4:30 and 8:00, and a kayak demo this Saturday from 10:00 to 2:00 at Vermilionville Pond, located at 300 Fisher Rd. - near the Lafayette Regional Airport. A bunch of kayak reps will be there for both events. You can go look at and paddle around in kayaks without having to buy. I went last year to the Beer and Gear and had some really good beer and got a couple tips on fishing spots. In my view, the best shopping for a kayak involves getting in it before buying. You can then buy anywhere.

My buddy from Shreveport will be there with Wilderness Systems Pro-Staff.

Looks like a hell of a time, wish I could make it
