Hadn't thought about Mitch. I'd imagine in some parts of the state he's more popular with the Democrat base than his sister.

I've never lived in Louisiana but Dee Dee was the first person to cross my mind when reading the thread's title. Not as bright as Sheila Jackson Lee or as pleasing to the eye as Maxine Waters but a star nonetheless.

Nationally it's nobody really. Mary is the most well known.

In South LA it's Mitch.

In the leg it may be John Bel Edwards or Karen Carter Peterson.

Dems are not strong here, outside of the black caucus. Most were dems in name only and many have flipped sides.
