Gowdey just asked by Bill Hemmer if Lerner would be given immunity..."well, since this is a family show, I'll just say no".

To Lerner..."you can save yourself or go down in flames".

They are loaded with a ton of incriminating questions, this time...backed up with facts.

Either tomorrow, or a week from tomorrow.

I'd keep a health distance from that gal. She's in deep.

Won't she just plead the fifth?

Her attorney is trying to get immunity and closed door testifying. But yeah she is innocent.

She screwed that up last time, this is a continuation from the previous hearing...

You can tell Gowdy is frustrated by Washington. Too bad he's not in Issa's position.

Got it. I remember it being a "grey" area although it seemed clear that she did offer a defense in her opening statement before she took the fifth. Was is definitively ruled that she blew it?

He's a pit bull. It kind of explains why SC left the Union first.

When interviewed earlier this week, Gowdy said he didn't know what Learner had done. She might have killed Jon Bennet Ramsey as far as he knew.

I didn't hear any flak over that, but I might have missed it.

There better be some meat to her testimony otherwise this will look like a witch hunt. Granted her actions make her look guilty or at least knowledgeable of wrong doings. I still think she falls on the sword for the administration and nothing truly comes out of the hearings.

meh, an open murder case from over 10 yrs ago...why would he catch flack?

Just was showing reason why immunity isn't given before Congress knows what you know. They aren't taking the chance of letting you off of other crimes as well...hence the reference.

I'll never understand why someone like her diesnt flip immediately. She isn't saving her legacy, she making it worse. If she would just admit she was ordered to target groups, she would have just faded into a fish job somewhere. Now she's a virus

Isn't it her actions and decisions that make her to be a criminal in the first place?

I was referring to her "action" of taking the 5th. Not her actions as a decision maker within the IRS.

Officially? It still seems to be in murky water about whether or not she "did".

He shot himself. And the reason no blood was found near the wound was because he was suffering from extreme anemia.

hence the word immediately. which means before she went in front of Congress and made an arse out of herself. I would NEVER think I was important enough for the top officials not to throw me under the bus.
