Parents of school age kids: summer???

Just polling what kind of activities parents look for in the summer when the kids are out. Do you look for a daycare or camp that can keep them while you're @ work? Do they stay home with a sitter that can get them to things like swimming lessons, sports camps, etc?
If there was an interesting activity that was a couple hours long, 3-4 times per week, mid morn or mid afternoon, could you get them there? Or would it be too inconvenient logistically? TIA

My kids stay with my niece, mom or father in law. I signed them up for kids bowl free and they go bowling once or twice a week a couple other kids. They also go swimming at my wifes bosses house and my son plays travel ball so they stay pretty busy.

I often wonder this myself what do people who work year round do. I am a teacher so I am able to spend the summers with my kids and I love every second of it.

i took swimming lessons, basketball camp, tennis when i was a kid. also played baseball at night.

Same. But my mom didn't work.
I always wanted to go to those Brec day camps everyone went to, but my parents were not a fan of 16 year olds taking care of 30 kids per "counselor".
We went places where they'd go on field trips and it was like 100 kids with 3-4 high school teens watching them.
