Nobody in the voting public cares and republicans look like fools trying to provoke Obama to action.

They should shut up and concentrate their talking points on shrinking government.

Notice how the republicans voted to increase government in the debt limit increase and the farm bill??

Notice how they have been screaming about defense cuts?

As a lifelong republican I am tired of this hypocrisy.

Cut defense
Cut food stamps
Cut it All!!

This crap some have suggested that no cuts should be made to defense without cuts to entitlements is just that crap. Take whatever cuts you can get as the minority party .

yes they would as the minority party all the more reason they should go along with defense cuts---any cuts are better none.

Rs do not want cuts. They are blowing smoke.

I want Rand Paul to be the dictator of the party if that is what it takes to bring these big government proponents like Bohner, McCain, VItter, ect under control.

I don't care about the Crimea, but I do care about an aggressor nation invading and stealing part of another nation.

You have to look at it as a whole. Russia is a superpower, they have nuclear weapons, they have a former KGB guy running the country. I know a lot of the Ron Paul crowd wants to ignore other countries and hope for the best but ask FDR how that worked in the 40's. Unfortunately the US will have to monitor and sometimes intervene otherwise you get run over. I will never convince you of this but to think the US should just sit quietly by while another country is taken over by another country is dangerously naive.

Winning what? more big government? Is that a win for you?

Is it your stance that the proper position of the republicans is to increase defense spending and cut all other spending or increase all other spending?

Why??

The region bordering Russia is unstable. A portion of the nation is mostly Russian and you fault him for sending troops there?

Should we give Guantanamo back to Cuba??

Don't be naive. Sudan plays zero part in the world's economy. My bet is that Putin doesn't stop with Crimea. Eastern Ukraine will be part of Russia within months. The Poles are already anxious and I'm sure the Romanians aren't pleased with developments either.

I don't recall this board ever discussing the Sudan. I don't have a son but once I am out of med school I am joining the navy so I will go wherever they tell me to.

Has it crossed you mind that the Russians might have been right in Afghanistan in the eighties? They didn't want a bunch of militant muslims that close to them. I wonder if they were right?
