300 rises...how are the reviews?

I have looked everywhere for early reviews but haven't seen anything yet.

My friend got to see an early screening of it. Said it's pretty damn good. Said it's different than the original, but just as good.

It's more of a bluish black kind visually, compared to the reddish gold look of the original. Neither of us can figure out what sort of vampiree goddess Eva Green is though

I always thought they CGIed the abs too, but those guys (The principals) busted their arse for their abs. Of course they added some makeup to a few of them, but the abs were all natural.
