In North Alabama, Bermuda grass, usual issues include lots of clovers and some purple flowering weed.

24d is post emergent

any type of grassy weed pre emergent will work, just make sure it's safe for Bermuda. also use a weed and feed for your fertilizer.

RoundUp and Atrazine will kill what's already there. Atrazine will also give you a little residual, I believe. Stuff like Prowl, Valor, Goal, and Dual are pretty great pre-emergents.

Will kill everything. You don't wanna put that in your yard.

I did it last week, just like I've done every year since I've started maintaining a yard. Bermuda is dormant right now. It'll be fine.

And, no, it won't kill everything.

Learn something new everyday. I keep that stuff in the garage for poison ivy and oak. Never thought about using on dormant Bermuda!

it won't kill it, but it will brown it a bit if you use it later

Yeah, you're going to have to do something different if you have weed problems later in the growing season, but it's still early enough to not be an issue.

Ronstar in the spring, now is the time apply it.
Spectacle in the fall.
These are by far the two best pre emerge herbicides for bermudagrass. Call some golf courses in your area and see if they agree.
Someone recommended atrazine, atrazine is not labeled for bermudagrass and will suppress it.

It works great for me every year at this time. Dead grass helps me spot what weeds I need to spray. Weeds start dying as grass starts growing.

Atrazine a couple of times a year will keep centipede spotless. It also helps suppress bermuda grass .

Yeah Weed Free zone will kill weeds that are already growing. A pre-emergent will prevent weed seeds from germinating and having weeds later.
