How do the Australians do so well without interventionist foreign policy?

I am curious if an interventionist foreign policy is so essential to the success and defense of the US why does Australia do so well without it? Not even China has an interventionist policy like ours. How do these people do with out such policy if it is so important to the US??

Because neither of these countries has a global film industry that needs to be protected and subsidized by Louisiana.

I don't think you can equate troops in those wars with say bombing Lybia or overthrowing a government in Honduras for a banana company or putting troops on the Syrian border.
Any examples where Australia put troops in some place like Arizona or South Aftrica or some other country that was not threatening their country?

Just....JEEBUS at this silly, 3rd grade level argument.
How else do you argue with those that support the stance that the US should be the policemen of the world??

So countries like Australia don't have to do anything.
If the U.S. wasn't around to flex it's muscle, then what? The roles that other countries play in the world would be a lot different.

It is quite embarrassing that our government helped kill people in Central America protecting the interest of United Fruit but it is a fact none the less.

1) I edited the insult part. I really do apologize for it.
2) To point to a group that is in no position to lead, and lament the lack of times they "led" as proof of how the Alpha should behave is incorrect.
I am fine with your position that the U.S. should NOT "lead" into some of these interventionist issues, etc. But, propping the argument with the straw-man of "Australia isn't doing it" is disingenuous.

In reality they don't spend money on film tax credits.
