Backyard Burger no more in Mandeville

I was going to the hardware store Friday and they had moving trucks pulling things out of the building and the sign came down as well. Hardee's is what I'am hearing will be taking over the spot.

What are your go to meals at BYB?
Mine are Hawaiian Burger (can't tell you how many times I've gotten chicken bc they messed up) and blackened chicken sandwich. I always get season fries and dip them in honey mustard.

Depends how I feel, but my favorites are either the classic, blackjack, or the mushroom Swiss.

I'm not a huge pineapple fan, but the Hawaiian Burger is really good. You should try it some time.

I'm familiar with another location in a totally different state shutting down. Corporate must be shutting down several.

These are franchised owned by a Baton Rouge family. Nothing to do with corporate. Simply underperforming.

The one on Pear Orchard in Jackson closed down recently. I think people that eat fast food are going with the cheaper option these days. BYB is expensive for fast food, but it's not that much more if you're getting combos large sized at McD's/Wendy's.

I don't really eat fast food, but I'll take whataburger over backyard Burger any day.
Name the town/city, there is a better Burger available at the same price point.
I always help out the local places when I can.
New favorite Burger...uncle Johnny's pizza in plaquemine.
