It's not that bad. Lots of office parties with families invited to watch the parades

yup...grew up watching them at julia and st. charles. There's a few surface lots in there that'll take $25 from ya...

Pretty civilized, as far as Mardi Gras goes. Plenty of pay parking lots in the area, if you get there early enough (you can even occasionally find legal parking on the the street). There are usually 25 or 30 Porta-Johns on the uptown side of Lafayette Square. Fine for guys, but they get nasty fast for ladies.
