There is really nothing Obama can do.
He could try and apply strong political pressure but he is not exactly in a position to do that because he is seen as a weak sister, especially in the eyes of a relative bad arse such as Putin.

He should've just resorted to condemning the actions rather than delivering threats and drawing red lines.

That being said, moving one of these full of marines into the Black Sea would put some pressure on Putin.

Exactly.
Obama has no leverage and no position of strength from which to operate.
In that position, you don't bluff because everyone knows you are bluffing and you end up just weakening your position further for future situations.

Threats of violence are completely meaningless here. A show of force only means something if the other side fears you or lacks the capabilities to retaliate.
