Looking for some general info regarding the Spanish Town Parade? The parade starts at noon. What is the latest you suggest getting downtown if we plan to watch around the 3rd St. bar area? How long does it take for the floats to reach this area? What is parking like? Do the garages around the River Center / courthouses fill up? Info is greatly appreciated....

You really need to get there early. Traffic backs up on the interstate.

Parking on the street is free on the weekends. Don't even try to park in the river center parking garage. I avoid Gov. St. when anything big is going on because it seems to be the only street people use to get downtown.

It is an all day affair. Wear sunscreen!

I saw the Big Buddy Program will offer you parking and security for you car for $10. They said it's 4 blocks from parade route. Support a good cause if you want.

It's on Main St. probably at about the intersection of 12th st. Not exactly close to 3rd.

Do it like I do and watch it at a friend's house on the route. Then scarf down some quality grub, clog up his shitter and roll out like a boss.
