Searched and found nothing....
Looks as if the folks filming were trying to catch police brutality in action. Had they helped the cop someone might still be alive.

Dude had a great ground game.

Since when are civilians supposed to assist police in their matters? That would have been more dangerous.

wow....Maybe Im different but I dont think shooting the guy was necessary. Didnt seem life and death to me and isnt the police officer trained to useother evasive tactics rather than blowign a guy away like that.
Why not get up and radio for back up....didnt seem like he the guy he was fighting would have prevented him from getting up

You're probably right but I guess I would have at least asked if he needed help.

Thread title makes it seem like a cop shot an on duty fireman attempting to put out a fire. Instead of was a drunk off duty fireman who was trying to beat the shite out of a cop.

That cop has to live with the fact that he got man handled and his only resort was his pistol.

Didn't really mean it that way. Just meant that the little shits filming obviously had an agenda.

Seems like if he wouldn't have tried to knee the guy he was trying to arrest in the head - while the guy was facing away - he wouldn't have been put in the position to get his arse handed to him in the fight.
Although he should have shot the two nerds filming too.

quote:I have been bashing those cops in the other thread, but this guy did everything he could do. He tried to restrain the guy, tried to cuff him, he even asked the bystanders for help, then the guy got on top and started bashing his face and head into the ground. The cop has zero fault and should not face any charges for this

quote:Dude, the cop has absolutely no blame in this situation. None. He did not result to kneeing the drunk in the head until he had no other choice.

The real deciding factor here, as to the use of force, was that the guy was on top of the cop and could have run off. Instead he elected to continue the assault which leads to a reasonable inference that he meant to further harm or kill him. Hence the justifiable use of force. Reverse the body positions and the whole equation changes.
