He's averaging 15.5/8, shoots (.497%), gets to the foul line a lot, albeit making only 65% of those, but FT technique can be fixed in the pros.
Season high points: 29 (vs. UK)
Season high rebs: 16 (@ Ark)
Season high blocks: 3 (vs. Tenn)
Season high FT: 11/14 (vs. Van)
Season high FG: 11/16 for 23 (vs. Ark)

He could be the muscle next to AD. Kind of like JJ Hickson was to LaMarcus Aldridge last year- a 6'9'' center with some bulk and post scoring ability who takes the physical load off the superstar down low. For a 2nd round pick what can ya really get? I mean, I wouldn't hate it... assuming he declares of course.

Sure considering most 2nd round guys don't pan out anyways. ID even pick up the guy who scored 130 points in that division 3 game last year

But seriously considering he declares, which would be a bad move imo. I doubt he brings any improvment over our current roster guys. Not a knock on JOB3 either cuz i love to watch him play. But he is just not cut out for a career in the nba. Enjoy and dominate college as long as possible. Because once its over its over

This class is loaded, I think it would serve him well to come back to LSU next season

it can?

So that's why Shaq and Dwight Howard are so good at shooting them

Draft Express has JOB and Patric Young as end of 2nd round guys. They could be available as UDFAs. Would we want either in the "JJ Hickson undersized bruiser" role the OP described? Or is another backup big the last thing we need?

If JOB is projected late 2nd round, how can he think it's wise to go pro? Hope he has his degree by now, or brushes up on some foreign languages.

Meh, its more top heavy than anything IMO. Don't think his draft stock will really change by that much from this year to the next

He has been getting a lot of shots blocked lately. Does he have enough hops to play the 4 or 5 at the NBA level?

2 exceptions to the rule.

Also, didn't realize we'd traded our 2nd rounder away. Should've known though, given it was my boy Songalia we got for it...

I think he compares well to a guy like Brandon Bass especially since he improved his jump shot a lot since last season. He is actually a bit bigger than Bass as well.

I'm not just using Bass because he is a fellow LSU player, but as an undersized PF they are actually very similar and there is plenty of room for guys like him on an NBA roster.

He is one of few players who woulf benefit from staying in college for 4 years.
