nice try. i'm anything but liberal but my music tastes run the gamut.

does anyone who loves good music really choose pandora stations based on this?

i guess i can see them generalizing someone with 50 country stations as a red state gun-lover.

nice try pandora.

You probably can extrapolate someone's politics from their music choices to some extent. Hard for me to imagine a right-wing Republican who's also a big fan of the Smiths, for example.

Really? I understand how a lot of people can separate the political views of artists from the enjoyment of their work, but the Smiths are kind of a special case. Their music is explicitly anti-conservative, some of the songs are arguably dealing with homosexual themes, the lead singer is a rabid vegetarian animal rights activist, and the guitarist put out a public statement saying that he forbade a conservative British politician from claiming to be a Smiths fan.

I like a bunch of artists I disagree with politically, but it would be tough for me to be a fan of a band that was so stridently against my own beliefs. Can we say that there probably aren't a lot of right wing Dead Kennedy's fans?

Doesn't change the fact that Meat is Murder is one of the best albums of the 80s.

Put How Soon is Now on and crank the stereo up and I don't care who u r.. that's good shite.
