Me and my SO just had a baby not even two weeks ago and my friends are dropping like flies. I'm finding out quick who my real friends are.

One of my friends got a job he really wanted. but he's not getting rich and he works 18 hours a day every day of the week.

so yea I'm not the one settling down. opposite perhaps. but I still haven't seen him in a couple months

None. We never settled down. That's the worse thing a person can do. Hire a babysitter and do stuff with your friends. So many people get married and live like 80 year olds. I've never understood that mentality.

How about not constantly talking about your kid? That shite gets old quick for people without kids.

It's possible they know you're elbows deep in newborn crap and want to give you a chance to get to know your new kid.

If you are the first of group they will come around. When they have their own.

You will meet new people at daycare and party at Applebee's.

Never lost any friends. If you lose people, it's probably just drinking buddies and not friends. Which you probably should have lost earlier than right before the birth of your child, unless you're trashy.

Yep, I had a friend have a kid a few weeks back. Said congrats and a few of us went out and drinks and cigars in his honor. He's got other shite to deal with right now than dealing with us.
