What a breath of fresh air.
It's been a while since a new band on the scene has been this talented and completely original.
I always thought that song Sail was great, but it has been so overplayed that it turned me off and I never looked into the rest of their music.
Their style Is very unique. funky, grungy, and heavy. They jam out live, so all the studio and radio tracks don't do them justice at all. Their frontman reminds me of Jim James... a talented weirdo who puts on one hell of show.
If you haven't given them a chance I suggest checking them out. You'll find something you like.
Listen to Knights of Shame. It's a long jam (if you will) that goes every which way. I'm trying to find a good live version.

Saw them last year at Gulfport Music Fest. They were amazing. But I agree about how their album does the live shows no justice. Seems like 2 different bands.

After watching the live recording, they are definitely on my list of bands I want to see.

Sail and one or two other songs on the album have a small mainstream feel to them. but after Listening to the rest if their stuff, you'd never guess they had a big radio hit.
They have loads of talent and are way more suited for touring, rather than going mainstream.
I hope they don't change their originality and go the same route as a Kings of Leon. Bc this album is barely scratching the surface.

The first 2 times I saw them they closed with Knights of Shame, but the last time it didn't get played (newer music is out now).
We were going to Deluna a few years back and I had bought Megalithic Symphony for the car ride. I listened to all of about one minute and turned it off so the GF could share in it with me. Fantastic CD top to bottom.
Also, the lead singer, from his previous band, actually got kicked out of HoB NOLA, but they let him back in when he got popular enough with AWOL so he took pictures after one of the shows as a conqueror. This info courtesy of the drummer.

Lol terrible and unoriginal. I picture guys with tribal tats chugging a monster in a jacked up truck with a salt life sticker jamming this with the windows down.

so how badass is Knights of Shame live? I imagine the vibe in the crowd is off the chain.

At Deluna Fest it sucked. Hardly drew a crowd (even though Sail was out at the time).
HoB KoS was pretty awesome though. It's a fun little song live. Gets people dancing.

Yeah, that's probably one of my least favorite songs by them, but I really liked the live performance to end the show
