Several yrs ago I stain my concrete and would like to remove to change the color. How is this done? TIA

I've never heard of it being done. Maybe an acid wash but it seems like you will probably end up with a big mess.

Believe you are stuck with it unless you paint it

Stout wound know better than me, but I thought most concrete stains were chemical reactions?
Maybe cover with some type of epoxy floor coating?

You could cover it.
I really think you could get a lot of it out with an acid wash. Not sure which type of acid though. The only problem is that staining also involves using acid for prep. The more acid you dump on concrete the more porous and weaker you make the concrete.

Sounds like a hell of a lot of effort that will end in disappointment to me....I'd either leave it the way it is or cover it with some other form of flooring...

If the concrete is sealed, you'd have to bead blast that off first, then maybe pour a Portland cement self-leveler, like Laticrete NXT Plus and then stain that ..

I bet stain on self leveler won't give the finish he is looking for.

Staining your concrete is the cheapest thing you can do to your floor for a reason, IMO ..

Probably not, although I've seen it done and sealed before .. I was surprised at how good it looked .. If the right people do it, it's passable ..

I can't find the video now but they have some new ( sort of) self leveling concrete. Not the skim coating like you are talking about but actual poured slab concrete and it's pretty amazing looking. It's going to eliminate a lot of Mexican jobs.

I've seen that. I believe that guy on the Northshore that pours gypsum subfloors pours those as well.
