Would it have been easier to handle the loss today if we had just got blown out?

Seems like that's what most expected anyway. So it might would have been easier to accept. Being so close to victory and then having it snatched away at the last minute just makes it tougher to get over. At least it does for me anyway.

Damn those kids played hard today.

But I know what the OP is trying to say, harder to lose a squeaker when we expected nothing but humiliation.

It's just more difficult to accept a close loss, coulda, shoulda, woulda win.

If LSU gets blown out, then you can write it off - @UK, beat them earlier at home, LSU plays poorly on the road, etc.

Just tougher to swallow for everyone. That's natural IMO.

Close losses are better than getting blown out. Getting blown out is just miserable.
