Ruzil daughter's (no pics) choice.

A general question, but what is good?

Is it true that this place is affiliated with Nino's? Should be good right.

Yes it is, lemon garlic chicken wings, caprese salad, the wife gets the goat pizza and I get either the boss or carnivore

I was eyeing that goat pizza on the menu. Might give that a try. Thanks.

Elton and Randee can't remember last name. They own Ninos and bought Oscars I guess a couple two or maybe three years ago. They run two great places. They have a prosciutto and fig pizza that is amazing.

Great ice cream too.

Never have tried the place and rarely hear or read of anybody else trying it. Will have to put on my list of places to try soon as the things mentioned so far sound pretty damn good.

Going in, I though it would be a little more than a pizza joint since the waiter at Nino's suggested it.

I thought they were trying a little too hard on the pizza. I tasted the Greek, the vegetarian and the caprese pizzas. I honestly didn't care for them. The greek pizza had just too much going on with several strong flavors. I guess I like a simpler style of pizza.

Mrs. Ruzil got the basil pesto pasta with chicken (the reason why we chose this place since Nino's doesn't have this on their menu any longer ). I really liked this dish and it's creamy basil goodness. My only complaint is that they only serve it with fettucini pasta and not the garganelli pasta they serve at Nino's. But they knocked this dish out of the park.

I was expecting that they had the gnocchi here with the awesome red pepper pesto, but no such luck.

I probably will not hit up this place again, I would just go to Nino's instead, but not a real comparison due to price point and atmosphere. It's a nice little place, but just not what I am looking for.

Sorry it didnt live up to your expectation, but I also see it as a pizza joint. I believe they do the garganelli pasta their too you just have to ask for it. I havent tried any of their pizzas you did, I stick to the two I mentioned earlier. Give it one more chance during happy hour for their wing and beer special and take a pizza or two home.

You obviously don't frequent the FBD threads. One poster frequents it so much that If there was an assassination attempt on him it would be there.

Oscar's Pizza Joint is a pizza joint. Sorry you expected it to be something else.

Took the family there last weekend. I thought the pizza was really good. The sauce is the best part. We also really enjoyed their ice cream. We would definitely go back.

This. I had no idea they were even affiliated with Nino's, and although the waiter there recommended it, I'd never expect anything more than a pizza joint. The building, sign, name, etc. make it pretty clear it's just a place to get some pizza.

Wait, Oscar's is a Pizza Joint. No freaking way! Who knew!

We went there on the recommendation of one of the waitstaff at Nino's, where we found out that they owned it. He repped it as Nino's with their pizza and also some of the pastas that Nino's no longer had.

I guess I should have not listened to one of their employees and asked the FDB what kind of place it was. Or simply googled it. My bad.

They have pizza , pasta, salads and ice cream it that helps anyone out there.

I don't think it is a bad place, it just was a little different than sold to me, and I probably won't go there again.

Just as a reminder, if anyone isn't clear, Oscar's is a pizza joint.

I knew you'd take my response to be snarky..

All I meant was that in the time it's been around I've never gotten any other vibe from the place and my first visit was only a few weeks ago.... and if you have passed the place (which I assume everyone in BR has), it doesn't look like anything more than a place to grab pizza with no frills. Hell, it was called Oscar's Pizza and Ice Cream at first. Sounded like a place to take your hyper kid to shut them up

To be fair to you, it's not my type of place either. I think the pizza was great, and I do plan to hit up the happy hour.. but it's a very quick, to-go type of place. I have certain places that I only use for carry outs because I just have little desire to dine in. We don't really go out (dine in) for pizza..
