Give her $40 bucks if it's for a few hours.

If its all day, pay her like $13/hr

$10-$20 per hour depending on what type of babysitter.

Teenager VS adult VS daycare worker VS agency caretaker, etc...

Grandparents live nearby.

When they're not available we pay a neighborhood friend (12-14 y/o) like $60 for the evening.

That said if it's just a few hours I would give a minimum of $40-$50 so it's at least worth their time. Babysitters are like gold around my house, take care of them and don't share their names.

$12 an hour. My kids are asleep by 8:30, so the babysitter is doing 2 hours max of actual babysitting and 2+ hours watching TV.

I have two children and try to always give at least 60 to 80 for an evening.

If it's an all day game i give double that.

It makes it pretty easy to find a sitter if you pay them well.

Way too much, but the girl we use is in college and is a good kid so I don't mind helping her out. $20/hour in the evenings to go out. We rarely need one during the day.
