Does Danny Glover at the Nissan Plant in Mississippi count?

Sounds like every election ever.

Typical liberal hypocracy. When a union comes from the outside to influence a group of employees it is fine. But, if others do it they cry foul.
Side note: I was speaking to a union guy this past weekend. He was telling me why the union was good. He said it comes down to they cannot get fired easily. He said if I wasn't union and didn't smile at the boss I could get fired.
This is really what they believe. I have never been union and I am not a generally likable person. I have never been fired. I just do my job.

Only when it's government(politicians) interfering.
This from the party(GOP) which claims government shouldn' interfere with Private business. Now that's hypocritical. Especially considering VW actually encouraged/likes working with Unions.
GOP politicians threatening VW tax incentives & false claims about future plants .

Spoke to the Houston, Clear Lake, VW sales manager yesterday who told me they've sold more than a dozen cars since the UAW was turned away in Tennessee to people who were buying VW's for that reason alone.

It happens way more often with liberal politicians though. The $40 billion Boeing/Airbus tanker contract was a perfect example. Airbus and Mobile, AL won the original bid fair and square. Boeing and Democratic senators from Washington state along with big labor officials bitched and whined over the Air Force's decision and basically stole the contract bid out from under Mobile. Thankfully, Airbus went ahead and committed to building private aircraft in Mobile but the tanker fiasco still stings.

Uh, why shouldn't they make those threats since they are true. If unions took over and made costs too high, plants would be built somewhere else. What do you not understand about that?
Remington says 'hi'.

Aren't their German union affiliations specific to VW and not part of a national union like the UAW?
If so, a VW union specific to VW is not the same as UAW-type unions.

Soooo.......
The UAW loses the vote and petulantly cries to the NLRB of which all 5 members are Obama appointees.
Wonder how this turns out?

So you blame government/politicians because it definitely couldn't be that workers in TN are already making more than their Union counterparts, nor could it be because those same workers look at what's happened in Detroit and not want it there, and it can't possibly be that even though the UAW was allowed to campaign INSIDE the plant while the opposition wasn't allowed to campaign on the property at all... no, the sole reason workers rejected the UAW can only be because they were brainwashed by the gub'mint.

The odd twist to this story is that Volkswagen seems to be more than okay with unionization.

It probably won't matter since those appointees weren't appointed legally.

Good point but how does that matter at this point?

Harry Reid, Mary Landrieu and the nuclear option say "hi."

All members are currently legally appointed due to a deal reached with Republicans last year. The Dems used the threat of nuclear option last year to get the R's to cave.

Says a lot about the dems doesn't it.
Interestingly enough, Harry Reid railed against the nuclear option when he was in the minority when bush was president.

Says more about what spineless, unprincipled pussies McConnell and the Senate GOP leadership were/are.

Well, we see now that it wasn't really an idle threat. At least this way, the deal struck put two R's on the board. Had he gone nuclear then, we'd probably have five far-left radicals.
