Anyone ever used this service at the Montego Bay airport in Jamaica? Most of what I've read online is very positive.

Its basically a VIP fast track through customs and get to wait in a lounge/bar while they get your luggage and your transportation arrives. Its available for arrivals & departures. Cost is $50/pp. I'm going to Jamaica in May and am thinking of trying it out. I've read that customs lines in Jamaica can sometimes be up to 2hrs long.

Just got back form Jamaica 3 weeks ago and it is worth it for arrival. A guy was waiting for you when you get off the plane, takes your papers and you skip the entire customs line. Well worth the money because the airport is very warm and muggy.

I don't remember a long line in customs when we went in 2010. We flew into Montego Bay from Miami. I assume you will be taking a similar route through MSY.

Where are you staying? The west side of Jamaica is unreal. The water doesn't have waves. It is the damnest thing.

We did it about a year ago-I thought it was a complete sham. The "food" was pre-made sandwiches & chips. There was draft beer though. The customs wait really wasnt that long on the way in so i couldnt imagine it being bad leaving. I would save the money and check out the duty free shopping instead

ETA: there were no seats available as in the pictures in your link. It was extremely crowded and people were pretty much fighting over the food when it came out

also we land about an hour before another couple that is joining us. We had planned on waiting for them and riding to the resort together since its about a 90 min ride. We may do it for the arrival simply to have a place to sit and have some drinks.

Geauxscott, We stayed at that resort in 2005. We had a blast. We are going this June to Negril, I talked to our travel agent and she suggested using the service so we are. She got it for us at $60 a couple. The ride to Ocho Rios will probably be closer to about 2.5 hours. They like to stop on the way.

Also the sandals transportation check in at the airport has beer on tap if you didn't do the VIP service.

It's worth it for arrivals since you can expedite your way through customs an immigration. Not as much when you're departing. Especially if you're going to Ocho Rios or Negril which can be a trek from MBJ.
