Do you ever give a ride to people walking on the side of the road?

On perkins, I always see mothers with small children walking with groceries . Today I saw an indian family. I actually gave them a ride, its hot, and I decided to do a nice thing for someone.

Very nice gesture.

Congrats on being the next crime victim in the area.

I wouldn't give rides to young men, but I would for mothers with children . Ive used the city bus or walked long distances too. I know how it feels.

I gave a ride to a young black girl that was walking by herself holding up her thumb. She ended up needing a ride to Plank rd. I was actually pissed that I stopped and put myself in a situation where I had to drive all the way to Plank. She knew I was pissed because I asked her what the hell she was doing. Once I warmed up and asked her name, she started telling me how her step dad hit her and she ran away and wanted to go to her dads but didn't know his new number. She then proceeded to tell me that she was 13 yrs old and liked girls. Then she started saying how she likes boys also and maybe a little too much. Then she started asking me if I was married or had a girlfriend. I told her that she needs to watch out for aids. I dropped her off at the beginning of her street and gtfo. What the hell is wrong with kids these days??

Damn dude. That's an uncomfortable situation to put yourself into. There are a few bad things that could come from that.

Yeah. I'd like to be a nice guy, but there are some untrustworthy people out there. Perkins isn't that bad of an area though. I do remember hearing about students at my highschool getting baited into pulling over to help a women who had a flat tire only to get robbed. This was in mid city new orleans though.

I'm reminded of Dave Chappelle taking a limo to the ghetto. "Click. I don't trust you either."

If you are giving someone a ride it should only be as far as you are going...if they are going further it's their problem
