Last night they scored more points than any LSU team in SEC play in 9 years.

blah if only we played a little bit of D... especially on the road. sitting at 7-6 with losses at UGA, Alabama, Texas A&M I can deal with the Arkansas loss since they're tough at home but we should be 10-3 right now.

It sucks that we can't put it all together. I will say seeing Mickey and Martin at 5 and 4 last night had me excited for next season. Those two could be great down low next season.

Can't wait to see how this high powered offense handles the NIT

At least we get some more practice time if we make NIT and some exposure... Maybe next year...

I'm sure I'll get laughed at but I am still excited about potentially winning the SEC tournament. No SEC team is unbeatable.

I'll never laugh at that. Once you get to the SEC Tournament the guys already in potentially can shut it down leaving it wide open. LSU has the personnel to win the tournament if they can figure out how to play defense before then. Still not likely, but theres always a chance.

we will have to play like this a lot next year and just roll with man to man in most cases IMO. martin at the 3 on defense is a liability. throw big elbert out there on the rare occasion we face a skilled big fella.

Yea. I don't think Elbert is quite ready to be a day 1 starter so I think we will have to go Hickey, Gray, Hornsby, Martin, and Mickey. Elbert off the bench and hopefully Morgan comes back strong from the injury. Q still backup PG for 1 more year.

Well uga is 3rd in the league. A&m is like 13-2 at home, and we haven't won at bama in a decade...it's really not that surprising when broken down. I'm mad we blew a 4-point lead at the Tad Pad with a minute left

Also, yea I may be crazy, but lsu is 16-9...hardly out of contention for the NCAA tournament. Do we have tough games left? Absolutely. Do we have the talent to win any given game? Absolutely. I know it's like a 1% chance to split Kentucky and Florida then win at Vandy...but it's not out of the realm of possibility. This team can go on a run, and I will continue to think we can go to the NCAA tournament until we are out of the sec tourney. I love this team and will support them til the bitter end.

Our chances of winning the SECT is based on if we can get in that 4th spot. That would be huge for this team. It baffles me that this team got beat running down the floor on made baskets last night. But it's come to be expected I guess after watching this team lately. It may be the most frustrating team to watch in a few years, b/c it use to be because lack of talent/players. Now we just can't get over the road woes and it will most likely cost them a tourney bid. We will be bigger on the perimeter next year which should be a big help esp. if we do go to zone like this year, and hopefully press more next year. Really wish Shavon would have another year. On a side note, i've never seen a player like JOB get hacked down low and have so many tick tack fouls called on him on the other end of the floor, with his hands up in the process. I really feel for the kid b/c he gets no calls and has so many little fouls called on him when he really does nothing but has his hands up...Rant over

I'd almost rather play an extra game than have to play Florida in the semi's... IDK. 3rd was ideal, but now I just hope we pull off a miracle.

bc of their effort and defensive laziness on the road they've made it really hard on me, yet still i agree i support them

We can win the SEC tournament. I have no doubt about that. But we've got to figure something out defensively

ETA: and South, I agree with you about playing the extra game. We want the 6 seed

I don't love this team at all. I'll support them but I supported the 2-14 fighting Trent's too.

A team with this much talent makes me sick to watch us play so lazy. All Martin cares about is getting his points--he's honestly the worst defender I've ever seen play at LSU given he height and athleticism.
