I searched and saw some references of the show here and there, but no topic completely devoted to Modern Family.
What do yall think about this show? I just started it a couple weeks ago and am almost done season 2. I think besides being a funny show, it's scripted very well and flows very smoothly - very addicting show. I like it a lot.

I don't know if you're far enough in the show for her to be old enough yet, but don't sleep on Haley Dunphy (Sarah Hyland)

eah, Sarah Hyland is cute and has huge boobs that they apparently love showing off on the show.
Sophia Vergara is smoking hot but I can't stand to hear her open her mouth.
Manny sucks, and Lilly is worse. Mitchell sucks too. Luke sucks (as an actor), but I love he and Phil together. But a show where you loved everybody would be boring IMO...so it's good that some of the characters suck.
I love the show and have watched since the pilot. I love that USA now shows reruns...lets me record some of the better episodes.

Phil and Cam are the two who consistently make me laugh. Gloria, for all her obvious assets, is terrible IMHO.

Definitely in my Top 3 comedies right now.
Also, this probably goes against popular opinion, but I think everything about Sofia Vergara is very off-putting to me. I am not a fan of hers. And that says something when she's my least favorite on the same show as Manny.

I can't dislike anyone on the show. Their character flaws are what make it seem like an actual family. These people pretty much have to love eachother. Everyone has family members that they don't necessarily like. I think that's why so many can relate to the show.

I think Gloria's comic value is very unappreciated in this show.
SV knows exactly how to play up the accent, the boobs, the cultural divides for laughs.
She knows exactly what she's doing. Her moments are fewer, but perfection when they hit.
She's like the thinking comedy fan's Charo.
She and Cam are the real highlights for me.

. Not sure if Lily actually starts to talk in the later seasons, but up to the second season, she literally hasn't said a word. I understand all the hate for Manny - he's by far the worst on the show. But comparing a baby to him just isn't fair Okay, it just hit me, in one episode I've seen, Lily says "momma." I was wrong.

The older version of lilly only delivers one liners. I don't know if I have ever seen her in an episode where she spoke multiple sentences in one scene.

Phil is the best character. Luke's back acting aside, he is pretty funny also.
I like all the characters, even with their flaws. Honestly, Jay is the most intriguing. Every show that dives into the subject of Jay I find fascinating.
