Anyone hopping on the Kansas City Royals bandwagon for this 2014 season?

I have a feeling this Royals team is going to surprise a lot of people this season and put together a solid season and I am calling it now - a playoff berth. Their pitching staff is above average, bullpen is really good and the lineup is starting to take shape.

Want to get on the bandwagon early before the rest of the bandwaggoners jump on in August/September.

I don't watch baseball, but I like the color blue.

Good enough reason as any right?

I'd like them more if their rotation was more proven. Too many question marks there.

I think they finish over .500 though.

I think they'll make the playoffs as a WC...they played good ball the second half of last year

Never trust a team managed by Ned Yost...

I jumped on it two years ago when I went to Kansas City and saw a game there, bought an Alex Gordon road jersey too.
With the White Sox sucking last year, I watched more Royals games on MLB.tv than any other team.

Been talking to my boy who is their closer. Says the team has a different vibe to it this year. I predict they give Detroit a run at the division.

I met Billy Butler a few years ago and he was a extra nice guy. So I've had soft spot for the Royals for the past few years. There isn't a worse manager in baseball right now than Ned Yost though. He is God awful.

I will if only because of proximity. Today the KC radio folks were saying how, if they make the playoffs, they might be sold...probably to the same group that owns Sporting KC.

by finishing .500. That's what sucks about the lack of a salary cap in baseball. 2/3 of MLB teams know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they stand zero chance of winning the World Series. If I lived in a city like Houston, Seattle, Milwaukee, Miami, or Toronto, I wouldn't pay $200 to take my family to a ball game.

3 of the bottom 5 payrolls made the playoffs. Half the playoff teams were under 100 mil.

I love their unis and like to see small market clubs break October droughts so ill be rooting for them. I dunno if their staff can repeat what they did last year though. I think they pitched over their heads a bit
