Birthday dinner is this week, probably thursday night. My grandmother is coming and does not have good hearing.
Is Juban's loud inside? I have never been there.
Maybe DiGuilio's?
Going to Byronz on friday
Beausoleil is out and Roberto's is out.
Louisiana Lagniappe is too loud also.
Galatoire's is to loud also.
Any other suggestions are appreciated.

You should go to Pinetta's. I don't know how loud it is but it is so dark in there your grandmothers will think she is blind too!

My mom suggested that also.
Maybe somewhere that has a semi private room also.

loud as shite. dont go there for a quiet dinner.
Ginos is a good place for a quiet dinner. Occasionally they have a guy playing in the bar but even if he is, it isnt loud at all.

I remember reading a review of the Chef's Table at Nino's a while back. Any idea what the cost would be fore 5?

Don't know if this fits with your plans, but Ruth's Chris has a little side section just to the right of the hostess stand that's pretty quiet. There's a limited number of tables in that area. You have to step up one or two steps to enter. I ate in there about a year ago. I think there only maybe four 4 tops in there.
If you go to Gino's, the section to the left and down from the hostess table is not very loud. It's a small area.

Nino's is pretty quiet. Very small place.
Mansur's has a piano player so you wouldn't want to sit near that or the bar area which can be pretty loud. I haven't sat in the other part of the restaurant in a good while, though. I like to eat in the bar, so I can wear nice jeans.

I don't remember Roberto's River Road being all that loud but I haven't been out there in a while.
You could also look into Houma's House.

French Market Bistro is actually a really good recommendation.

The servers call this "the balcony" and it's the least desirable section to have because of exactly that ^
In other words, you'll find quiet by doing this
